Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Lake Villa Area, IL
Pay Rate: $55/hour
Contract Term: 3-Month Contract (August–November 2025)

This SLP role supports a general education population only—there are no special education programs at this school, making it one of the most straightforward SLP assignments in the district. You'll also work alongside an experienced on-site SLP, with the added option to participate in a formal mentorship program through the district if you’d like to build your skills further.

Skills You’ll Bring on Day One:

Ability to work with young students individually on fundamental speech goals

Basic understanding of IEPs (IEP support and training provided—don’t need to be an expert to start!)
Your First Days:
Onboarding Dates: August 6–8, 2025 (Full Days)
You’ll be onboarded with new staff and get familiar with:

School layout, student assignments, and support structure
What Your Week Will Look Like:

Primarily 1:1 therapy sessions with students working on:

Articulation

Language comprehension & expression

Pragmatics

Fluency/stuttering
Write speech-related IEP goals and assessments
Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school staff
Minimal paperwork outside of therapy-related responsibilities
