Position Overview
The Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) will provide support in the delivery of speech and language services to students with communication disorders. Under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), the SLPA will help implement therapy plans, assist with documentation, and collaborate with educators and families to promote students' communication development.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings under the direction of the supervising SLP.

Implement therapy plans based on IEP goals through direct and indirect services.

Support the generalization of communication skills in educational settings.

Prepare therapy materials and assist with data collection and progress monitoring.

Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate communication strategies in the classroom.

Participate in IEP team activities as directed by the supervising SLP.

Adhere to all confidentiality, professional, and ethical standards.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.

Licensure: Active Texas license as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).

Experience: Completion of at least 50 hours of fieldwork/clinical practicum.

Skills: Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; knowledge of speech and language development and therapy techniques.
Compensation:
38-45 dollars per hour based on experience and uncapped bonus potential
