We are currently hiring a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) to work in a growing North Texas district committed to fostering inclusive and supportive educational environments. Position Overview

The LSSP will provide comprehensive psychological services to students, supporting their academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development. This role involves conducting evaluations, participating in ARD committees, consulting with school teams, and supporting district-wide initiatives to ensure students receive appropriate services and interventions.


Key Responsibilities

Assessment & Eligibility

  • Conduct and interpret psychoeducational assessments to determine special education eligibility.

  • Prepare comprehensive Full and Individual Evaluation (FIE) reports.

  • Present findings and support the development of IEPs during ARD meetings.

Intervention & Counseling

  • Develop and support implementation of behavior intervention plans (BIPs).

  • Provide individual and group counseling services as needed.

  • Address crisis situations and support students facing emotional or behavioral challenges.

Collaboration & Consultation

  • Collaborate with general and special education staff, administrators, and families.

  • Provide consultative services and recommendations for student interventions.

  • Participate in RTI and MTSS processes as appropriate.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure timely, accurate documentation and adherence to state and federal special education guidelines.

  • Maintain up-to-date records and reports in accordance with district protocols.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Master’s degree in School Psychology or related field

  • Current and valid Texas licensure as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP)

  • Familiarity with IDEA, FIEs, ARD processes, and best practices in school-based assessment and intervention

Preferred:

  • 2+ years of experience in a school setting

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred, not required)


Contract Details

  • Staff Start Date: August 5, 2025

  • Student Start Date: August 13, 2025

  • End of School Year: May 21, 2026 (early release)

  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week paid 

Compensation:
49-54 dollars per hour base pay (based on experience) plus uncapped bonus potential.
